Jayden Kyoga grew up poor, with nothing but their uncle and a small CD shop to call home. Early influences led Kyoga to develop a deep love for music as they grew up. They wanted to chase passion over practicality—and they proved it by finishing only until senior high school. Despite the protests of their childhood friend, Xylex Anthony, who begged them to at least try one year of university, Kyoga stayed faithfully stubborn on their chosen path.But the path wasn’t as easy as simply saying they’d take it. Kyoga spent days posting song covers, opening writing commissions, job hunting around studios, and waiting for gig callbacks from bars and cafés. Every night, they hoped that one day, a ring of acceptance would finally play on their phone.There were doubts—lots of them. On top of that, Kyoga performs in their duo act, JackBomb.As their career grew, Kyoga renovated their uncle’s rundown CD shop into two floors.
